Internet Censorship

A couple of weeks ago i am told of a story of a Bahir Dar federal police-officer shot 12 innocent people, including a three year old toddler, before turning his gone on himself.

I was told that the police knew of his actions but wouldn’t intervene until they had a direct instruction by their superiors.

I can’t verify the story because of the government “restrictions” on “sensitive” websites.

I am horrified at the story but Derbo is nonchalant about it. He tells me how a petrol station in Bole (major and expensive area in the south of Addis) burnt to the ground with three fire engines watching waiting for instructions to turn on the water.

I am told if your email contains the word “Eritrea” it will not be sent. And indeed, some mail just don't send at all, despite what you might think. I am having to blind-copying myself in very important emails.
