Congratulations

Boss just doesn’t do praise. Unbelievable considering she was a high school teacher in a previous incarnation.  

Ms J has busted a gut at school for 6 years, but has never had a simple “thank you.” Or indeed Anna and Rob who took a year out of their lives to build and establish Boss’ own school in Debre Zeit.

Ginger Warrior received one once, back in October, for his weekly newsletters, and i often remind him of this monumental occasion.

Last week Boss arrives in my office – only her third visit to Mountain Man’s Lair over the entire course of the year. And it is a good job i am sitting down.

“I need to thank you” she says as she enters. “You have clearly raised educational standards”. Boss sent out her “annual parent survey” and clearly we have scored high this year.

I am so shocked, i don’t know what to say.

It is the highest compliment i can get as a Head-teacher.
