Held to Ransom

Ms J is the biggest asset to the school with over 6 years devoted and dedicated service to the Early Years. A single mother of three, her salary is so poor, she is forced to moonlight spending time giving private tuition. Addis is currently being rocked by a 35% inflation rate and yet despite promises to the contrary, she has not had a pay rise since 2010.

As the school breaks up and i bugger off, Ms J gets a call to say her payment has been delayed and to talk to Sly Giraffe.

Sly Giraffe informs her that until she signs a new contract she will receive no payment. Reluctantly and through desperation she finally agrees although there are flaws within it and does not cover back pay of which she is entitled to. Completely shoddy treatment. He then requests that Ms J cancels her investment license, so naturally Ms J asks what the school has in mind. Nothing it seems as they won't even guarantee a contract post – July.

I am horrified at the story and quickly head off to the bank to see if I have been paid, for I am the last remaining contract non-signer. I am saddened to find ut i have been paid, i am so up for going on strike.
